Managing owners and deputies

Ownership is a core part of Impliancy.
It ensures that every artifact has a responsible person or team.


Viewing ownership

In the Artifacts section you can:

  • View owners
  • View deputies
  • Filter artifacts with missing owners (upcoming)
  • Sort by ownership or status

Assigning owners

Admins can assign or change owners directly.
For all artifacts:

  • Ownership changes in Impliancy update the owner in the artifact
  • This replaces the PowerShell-only method used in common admin scenarios

Managing deputies

Owners and admins can add multiple deputies to support governance tasks.

Deputies can:

  • Submit compliance forms
  • Receive inactivity reminders
  • Manage additional deputies
  • Access the same artifact information as the owner

Deputies do not replace the primary owner.


Sharing artifacts

For Power Apps, Flows, and Bots admins and owners can initiate sharing directly in Impliancy:

  • Add users
  • Adjust permissions
  • Remove access
  • Keep access aligned with governance policies
