Prerequisites

Before connecting a tenant to Impliancy, ensure that the following requirements are met.

Required accounts and permissions

Service principal

Impliancy operates using a service principal (Impliancy App). It requires:

Dataverse System Administrator role in every environment you want to index
No delegated user permissions (Impliancy does not impersonate users)

Tenant admin rights

A Power Platform Admin or Global Admin is required for:

Granting API permissions to the service principal
Assigning Dataverse roles
Approving the connection in Impliancy

All of the above will be automatically done upon consenting to the Impliancy Popup (see installation)

Network and security

Outbound access to Azure and Power Platform APIs
No special firewall rules needed
Impliancy does not require inbound network access to your tenant

Optional (but recommended)

Naming convention for environments to improve governance clarity
