Roles and Permissions

Impliancy has a simple and clear permission structure that aligns with the Power Platform governance model.

Impliancy roles

Impliancy Admin

Automatically assigned to:

• Power Platform Admins
• Global Admins

Can access and configure everything.

Impliancy admins have the option to promote non Power Platform- or Global Admins as Impliancy Admins, giving them the permissions to manage everything in Impliancy. See Managing admins for more details.

Artifact Owner

Responsible for an artifact and has access to:

• Compliance forms
• Inactivity notifications
• Ownership management
• Deputy assignment
• Sharing (for apps)

Deputy

Has the same capabilities as the owner but does not appear as the primary responsible person.

Service Provider Admin (upcoming)

Can switch between multiple client tenants and manage governance for each one.

Permissions via service principal

The service principal must have:

• Dataverse System Administrator role in all indexed environments
• No delegated permissions
• Direct API rights to read and manage artifacts
